The timing is now for the investor.  Those in the know realize the Portland metro market is expected to double in the next twenty years, making real estate a pretty safe investment.  With prices stablized in most of our market, distressed and opportune bank owned properties are being snapped up. 

More buyers have become renters with tighter lending requirements, pushing rental rates upwards.  Rates are up and in many areas we could increase 9-10% by end of 2009.
